HAL Hook & Line Modules

Sling Module

The Sling Modules provide two core HAL® functions of attachment and anchoring.

The Rope slings are made of pre-stretched polyester rope. They have 35mm soft eyes at both ends. Each end is secured with crimped aluminum splices. The Wire slings are made of galvanized steel stranded wire. They have a 30mm soft eye at both ends. Each end is secured with crimped aluminum splices. All slings can be used to form self-tightening loops for anchoring pulleys (e.g. to trees or posts) or for improvising a variety of other attachment and anchoring rigs.

The 4.0m Anchor Line is a low-stretch line with an Aramid core and a polyester protective overbraid. The line is terminated with a stainless-steel snap-shackle.

The Line Branch is a clamp with an eye for securing onto 5.5mm diameter line. The clamping function is operated by a thumb-wheel screw. The eye can be clamped securely onto the main line at any point to provide a fixing point for a second line thereby permitting sideways pulling, attachment of a pulley or anchoring of the line.

The small screw-pin stainless-steel D-shaped shackle is ideal for use in confined spaces to connect two rope, two wire slings, or two single pulleys together.

The pouch is made from rugged, abrasion-resistant fabric, and features mesh pockets on the interior lid, and elastic loops on interior base. The pouch has a double slider zipper closure. The rear of the pouch features Velcro® Hook and two MOLLE straps with snaps to provide a variety of attachment options.
