The LDE is a modular suit that provides flexibility and balanced protection against blast type anti-personnel mines. The LDE enables a deminer or UXO technician to work comfortably in all operational climates without need of body cooling equipment. The modular design can be configured quickly and easily depending upon protective requirements.
The standard LDE suit comprises an Apron (not to be confused with the Demining Apron) and Trousers. Optional LDE components to enhance chest and groin protection include Sleeves, Back Protector and Ballistic Add-Ons.

LDE Ensemble Spare Parts
Med-Eng is pleased to offer 1st level (field/user repairable) Spare Parts for the LDE Lightweight Demining Ensemble.
Stocking Spare Parts brings several benefits to an operational unit:
- When components are worn out, lost or damaged they can be replaced or repaired in the field reducing 'down time' and keeping a unit operational.
- It also reduces the need to return components to Med-Eng which in turn eliminates shipping and administrative costs.
