The Integrated Dismounted Armor System - Military (commonly known simply as IDAS™) protects the extremities of mounted and dismounted personnel against battlefield threats including fragmentation and bullets. The defining feature of the IDAS is how it can be deployed as a modular and scalable protection system to supplement a user's current body armor.

The IDAS uses RIGIFLEX™ armor plate protection system, developed by Med-Eng for the IDAS program, to provide base Level II armor with optional upgrade systems for higher threats.
