The SRS 5 Helmet is widely used by EOD technicians for operations where a SCBA respirator is also required in response to a suspected chemical or biological agent.
The SRS 5 features two interchangeable visors: the VBE-580 for search operations and the VBC-250 to accommodate a respirator. Technicians can switch the visors in the field based on their threat assessment.
The optional Environmental Awareness System (EAS), including integrated speakers and microphone, allows technicians to stay in contact with their command post and hear ambient noises more clearly.
