The EOD 9 Helmet is a highly advanced EOD helmet that greatly improves the optimal balance of operational flexibility with maximum protection. The EOD 9 Helmet represents significant advancements in protection and functional capabilities, including interchangeable EOD and BA Visors, and a new Remote Control Module.
The two visor system enables a technician to configure the helmet in the field in order to better complete a typical EOD/IEDD mission using the EOD Visor or to use the BA Visor when an SCBA must also be worn.
The EOD 9 Helmet has been subjected to numerous test series against live explosives and simulated Chemical and Biological agents.
Technical program managers will also appreciate the fact that the EOD 9 Helmet can accommodate the 99th percentile of head sizes using only a single helmet size. This is further supported by the helmet's exceptional comfort provided by its new retention system.
