The EOD 8 Helmet has been widely embraced by EOD/IEDD technicians around the world. It set the standard for protection in bomb disposal operations until the EOD 9 was introduced. It is a full-face helmet with a floating visor system to provide balanced protection against the four main blast threats.

Full-scale blast testing with instrumented anthropomorphic mannequins has proven the ability of the EOD 8 Helmet to dramatically reduce the potential for injury.
