TITLE:
Product Specialist-Americas (Force Protection)
DESCRIPTION:
The Product Specialist – Americas (Force Protection) possesses knowledge of the Force Protection (FP), Infantry, Urban Combat, Mechanized Combat, Special Operations, Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD), and/or Law Enforcement (LE) areas of expertise and capitalizes on this knowledge to provide unequalled product know-how to customers and potential customers within the geographical and functional areas of responsibility.
The incumbent assists the Territory Manager - Americas (Force Protection) as well as the other assigned Territory and Functional Managers for the Americas in all sales functions within Canada, the United States, Central and South America and the Caribbean Nations as well as all US and Canadian Forces serving abroad.
Incumbent also utilizes unique breadth of experience on specialized tools and equipment, peacetime and wartime experiences, instructor experience and standard operating procedures from USA, Canada, and/or South America. Incumbent provides briefings, product demonstrations, training and subject matter expert (SME) input to all activities to support sales across multi-functions including FP, Infantry, Urban Combat, Mechanized Combat, Special Operations, EOD, LE, Unexploded Ordnance (UXO), Demining, Hazardous Materials (HAZMAT); and Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear and Explosive (CBRNE) within respective area of responsibility and assists other functional managers and inside sales coordinators to do the same.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Travels to key areas providing presentations, training and direct interface with the customer ensuring their needs are met where possible
- Trains customers on products and product use/interface
- Coordinates, sets-up, and participates in trade shows and other sales and marketing events as directed
- Maintains existing customer contacts; initiates and establishes new contacts within AOR
- Identifies product training leads and new sales leads/opportunities
- Provides SME recommendation and assistance for preparation to bids to solicitations, RFQs, etc.
- Identifies deficiencies and improvement initiatives to improve performance of equipment and sales initiatives
- Acts as key member of the product review process
- Performs post sales services and training services programs as directed
- Other responsibilities as assigned by the Territory Manager - Americas (Force Protection) or designated representative
Qualifications:
- Recent experience in a hostile environment desired
- Travel 100+ days per year as required
- Military and/or Law Enforcement Tactical operations experience required
- Experienced in preparing and presenting Power Point, oral and practical presentations Experience in Excel, Word and other standard program also required
- Ability to travel to foreign countries required.
