TITLE:
ERP Analyst - Finance
DESCRIPTION:
The incumbent is responsible for designing, developing, implementing and maintaining systems and solutions to support the functional business needs within the Finance Department.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Directs and manages multiple concurrent projects to successful completion
- Guides teams in implementing efficient, cost effective application/software solutions which support business processes and functional requirements
- Leads users in formulating requirements; advises on alternatives and on the implications of new uses of systems or implementation of new systems
- Conducts stakeholder/user interviews to define requirements and prepare appropriate documentation and materials to communicate and validate information
- Lead preparation and validation of task identification, work effort estimates, and work schedules for all projects
- Coordinates and directs as appropriate cross-organizational IT resources to identify problems and develop solutions
- Prepares documentation and provides training, guidance, assistance and knowledge transfer to users
- Maintains various software applications by responding to Help Desk tasks. Includes troubleshooting, and implementing solutions to reported issues
- Communicates status of projects and tasks
- Maintains currency of knowledge with respect to relevant tools and technology as Subject matter expert for financial systems
Qualifications:
- Degree or Diploma in Computer Science, MIS, Finance/Accounting or other relevant discipline
- Solid understanding of Finance processes and information needs
- 5 +years experience supporting ERP and financial systems
- 5 + years defining user requirements and analyzing business processes
- Previous experience in a manufacturing environment
- 5+ years experience with database reporting tools
- Solid understanding of relational databases and applicable tools
- Knowledge of Visual basic & VB script
