TITLE:
Embedded Software Designer
DESCRIPTION:
- Design and implement real-time embedded firmware using C and assembler on ARM, PowerPC and PIC microcontrollers.
- Work closely with other teams on system integration and validation
- Maintain existing code base.
- Produce design documentation.
Qualifications:
- BSEE or BSCS required;
- Must have two(2) to four(4) years of embedded software experience;
- Must have development experience with ARM, PPC or PIC microcontrollers;
- Must be very comfortable in a lab environment and be knowledgeable in the use of common lab equipment (oscilloscope, spectrum analyzer, DMM, etc.);
- Experience with Texas Instruments DSP is an asset
- Preference will be given to candidates with work experience in wireless communication;
- Experience with QNX Operating System, or equivalent, is an asset;
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential.
- Eligibility for a Canadian Security clearance to the level of Secret is essential (may require 10 years of Canadian residency).
